Dear Parents and Carers,
This Sunday we celebrate the feast of Christ the King, the last Sunday of the Liturgical Year. This celebration is an invitation to receive time as a gift and to live life differently. Jesus is King! Jesus Christ is meant to become the Lord of our whole lives and inform the very pattern of how we live.
Jesus, King of All Nations, Whose kindness toward us is steadfast,
and whose fidelity endures forever, May we serve You. Eternal Father,
Who has given us Your Only Begotten Son, to be our Redeemer, One
True Mediator, and Sovereign King, We praise and thank You.
Remembrance Day
Last week the school celebrated Remembrance Day in prayer and reflection. Mrs Hamilton with the support of Mrs Imbriano prepared a beautiful and reflective prayer celebration to remember all those who have died in service for Australia and its people. The corridor display organised by Mrs Hamilton gave students the opportunity for hands on inquiry and better understand the day to day life of people in the services.
NAIDOC Week
Mrs Borgia and Miss Egan – Richards worked together to provide resources for staff to inquire into and celebrate NAIDOC Week this year. Each day during morning prayer the Aboriginal Our Father was sung. After recess staff read an indigenous story to all members of the school over the PA.
Book Buddies
Last week, book Buddies concluded for 2020. Younger buddies were given a bookmark and had the opportunity to listen to or share a chosen story.

Mrs Miller took all of our current Kindergarten students to minimise interruption and our student leaders for 2021 met their young buddies.
Targeted Kindergarten Health Check
Catholic Education has asked schools to remind the parents of Kindergarten students that Canberra Health Services is offering a targeted kindergarten health check concentrating on vision and hearing. Uptake of the appointments is now slowing down. These health checks are performed in clinics at the City Health Centre Mondays and Fridays until Monday the 14th of December. An appointment can be made by phoning the Central Intake Line on 51249977.
Take care and God bless,

Friendships can be problematic for many girls. They can be mean and put each other down and, conversely, they can be strong allies and wonderful sources of support.
This webinar shows parents how to help girls create positive peer relationships and provide practical advice and ideas to navigate tricky situations including toxic friendships, cliques and bullying.
Yours faithfully,
