2020 Marian Procession
The 2020 Marian Procession Online is a week-long series of online prayer opportunities (starting this Sunday). It is a great opportunity for our school families to be exposed to the variety of multicultural expressions of the Catholic faith present in our local community.
Due to COVID restrictions, the 2020 Marian Procession will take place online. Led by our ethnic communities, the event is an opportunity to pray the Rosary together as a community.
We encourage paticipants to gather online to pray the Rosary during the week leading up to the celebration of the live-streamed Multicultural Mass Sunday 25 October.

BOOK WEEK COMPETITION
Sacred Heart's Book Week artwork is on display at Westfield Woden,
Centre Court from today Thursday 15th October – Friday 23rd October. All students created artwork inspired by the CBCA Shortlisted Books. Email a photo of the display to the front office email, attention Mrs Borgia, for your chance to win a Scholastic Book Club voucher.
BOOK WEEK CHARACTER PARADE
Our Book Character Parade is on Thursday 22nd of October and all students are invited to dress up as their favourite book character and bring along either the book or a copy of the front cover.
BOOK FACE WINNER
Congratulations to Amy S 3/4N for her entry in last Term's BookFace Competition. She has won a Scholastic Book Voucher.
Whole School Sports Day
As a make up for the missed Athletics Carnival from earlier in the year and as a celebration of the NRL and AFL Grand Finals next weekend, we will be running a series of sports activities next Friday 23rd October with the whole school. Students will participate in their house groups across a variety of different sports and games.
We ask that all students wear their sports uniform bottoms for this day. We welcome students to wear either their AFL or NRL supporter tops or t-shirts of their house colour. We ask that students wear appropriate footwear so they can safely participate in all activities.
Ride to School Week - All Week 3 (26-30 OCT)
Week 3 is Ride to School Week. We are encouraging all students, as well as parents and carers, to get as involved as they can. This initiative is led by the Physical Activity Foundation (PAF) and is partnered by many community organisations. It is a great community event that helps promote healthy lifestyles. As we move into a warmer and more active time of the year the weather makes it easy to get out and get active. Each morning the teacher on duty will be writing tickets for all those walking and cycling students to go into a prize draw on the Friday. On Friday 30th, we will have teachers stationed at several locations (see the map in the front foyer and attached to the bike cage for details). We will be meeting from 8:20am onwards and we will start walking to school from 8:30am.
When students arrive there will be fresh fruit provided and some party tunes to welcome us to school. All participating students will go in the draw to win some cool prizes that afternoon.
We will have a representative from the local Trek store joining us in the morning as well.
There is a drawing competition being run by PAF where students can win one of three $300 Trek vouchers. Entry forms are in the front office. Once completed please hand them to Mr Mitchell or the Front Office.
Can’t wait to see everyone getting involved all Week 3!
