The showbags are unique. The Tombola pots piled up. The books are sorted. The sausages ordered. The fairy is ready to be flossed! The wine is ready to be caged! The students are all keen and Miss Klomp is ready to have a wet sponge thrown at her (really!)
Pssst……Yes we do have a wet weather plan. The Fete is still on!
We will have to say farewell to some of the bigger inflatable rides and the petting zoo, but everything else will still happen.
Our stalls will move into the hall, library and classrooms. The bbq, Indian and Mexican will be in the Kinder courtyard, with Devonshire tea and gelato in the maker space. Kids activities will be in the hall.
Orders
- If you ordered ride bands, lego comp entry and fete-flowers via Qkr, they will be sent home with your eldest child today, Thursday. The green band is for the junior rides. The smiles band is for the all day pass. If you missed out on ordering, you can buy the bands and flowers on Saturday.
- If you ordered our wonderful books full of famous young authors – your copy is ready to pick up on fete day. If you missed out on ordering, you can also buy copies on Saturday.
- If you signed up on VolunteerSignUP you should have received an email from the committee today with a few details, and will receive one from the site (check your junk mail) on Friday re-confirming your timeslot. Please contact the school if you have not received an email by Friday morning.
Cakes Stall
Thank you to all bakers, please drop off baked goods after school tomorrow or Saturday morning to the Cake Stall.
Fete Helpers
We still need volunteers for many stalls please register at the Fete Volunteer Registration link. It is not too late to sign-up. Alternatively, if you find yourself with some time on Saturday please approach one of the fete committee on the day and we will direct you to an area of need. The committee will be wearing the hi-vis vests.
All Attendees
Please respect our neighbours by not parking over driveway access and lawns.
Sacred Heart’s motto is to ‘Nurture Hearts, Minds and Spirits’. Our Code of Conduct at events is included below to ensure our motto is alive and well during the fete. We ask that all families and carers take a moment ot read the Code of Conduct. If you see any behaviour during the fete which contradicts this code, please report it to a committee member in a yellow hi-vis vest.
Prizes and more Prizes. Look at this list. Yes we have something for everyone.
And now the news you have all been waiting for – As if the chance to win $4000 travel, Champagne Balloon Flight or bikes are not enough – we do have many more prizes.

While the weather is not looking promising for an outdoor event, the wonderful thing about a school is that we can bring most of the fete indoors. Please see all the details in the fete news below. So please come along rain, snow, wind or SUNSHINE and support our major school fundraiser for 2019.
