Dear Community,
We warmly invite all our dads, grandfathers, and family members to our Fathers' Day Breakfast next Friday, starting at 8:00 am in the school hall. Enjoy delicious bacon and egg rolls with a coffee van on site to kickstart your morning! (Please RSVP on QKR for catering purposes).
This is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate Fathers' Day as a school community. After breakfast, parents are welcome to visit their child's classroom and see the fantastic work happening at Sacred Heart.
Following the classroom visits, we invite everyone to our significant Fathers' Day Mass in the Church at 9:30 a.m. This is a special moment when we, as a whole school community, come together to give thanks and celebrate the special men in our lives.
Staffing Update
Mrs. Kerry Wode, our Assistant Principal, will return after five weeks of Long Service Leave next Monday. We’re excited to welcome Kerry back and hope she has enjoyed her well-deserved break.
I want to extend a huge thanks to Mrs. Katie Imbriano, who has done an outstanding job as Acting Assistant Principal during Kerry’s absence. Additionally, Mrs. Laura Stumbles has been fantastic as Acting Coordinator, not just for the past five weeks but for a total of 15 school weeks this year. Their dedication and support have been invaluable, and I’m incredibly grateful for their hard work and commitment to our students, staff and families.
Confirmation next weekend
Many Year 6 students are preparing for the Sacrament of Confirmation, a significant milestone in their faith journey. Confirmation is a significant Sacrament in the Catholic Church, where our young people receive the Holy Spirit, strengthening them to live out their faith with courage and commitment.
Next Friday, our Year 6 students will participate in a Confirmation Retreat Day at Sacred Heart Church. This retreat will provide them with an opportunity for reflection, prayer, and spiritual growth as they prepare for their Confirmation weekend, which will take place next Friday and Saturday.
We ask our community to pray for these students and their families during this special time. We also want to thank Fr. Emil for his dedication and work in preparing our students for this important Sacrament.
Community Council Meeting
This is a friendly reminder that our Community Council meeting is this evening at 6:00 p.m. in the school library. It is an open meeting, and we warmly welcome all members of our school community to attend.
The Community Council plays a vital role in shaping the direction of our school, and your input is invaluable. Whether you’re a regular attendee or joining us for the first time, we would love to have you there.
In faith and partnership,
David Austin
Principal

Callisthenics
Lilly and Olivia (year 3) and Mia (year 4) all travelled to Melbourne for the Callisthenics Long Beach tournament last weekend. It was an enormous journey with a 4am start on Friday morning to travel and a late return on Sunday night. They had a fabulous time and did us all proud.
The girls dance for Karilee Callisthenics club and they performed 6 routines over the epic 6 hour event on Saturday and were awarded 3rd place overall for the competition.
They have one more competition remaining for the season performing at the ACT Callisthenics Championships on the weekend of 21-22 September at Erindale theatre. If anyone wants to come to watch and cheer on these fabulous performers (entry is free) for any part of the event, feel free to contact one of the girl’s parents for details.
As an added bonus, you can support their club by grabbing a burger at Grill’d in Woden and popping the token in the Karilee Jar!!
