Today is R U OK day
Today is our national day of action when we remind Australians that every day is the day to ask, ‘are you OK?’ and start a meaningful conversation whenever they spot the signs that someone they care about might be struggling with life.
R U OK? is calling on all of us to let the people you care about know you're here, to really hear them.
By taking the time for an R U OK? conversation and genuinely listening with an open mind, we can all help the people in our world feel supported and connected.
Let the people in your world know you’re here, to really hear, because a conversation could change a life.

School Summer uniform is worn with black formal school shoes and a school hat.
A reminder that:
- Students may wear their sport uniform and sneakers on the nominated days only. We will confirm the sport days for Term 4, next week.
- Fingernails must be kept short. Nail polish is NOT allowed.
- Hair should be of natural colour, of even grade (no shorter than a No 3 comb). Extremes are to be avoided.
- Hair which is shoulder length and longer, needs to be tied back with natural-coloured bands and uniform coloured ties or ribbons
We appreciate your cooperation with our school uniform policy. Please refer to our Uniform Policy on our website for further details.

Sacred Heart Community Ride and Walk to school Morning
Our Term 3 Ride or Walk to school morning is Friday 15th September, Week 9.
This term we would like to build an independent ride and walking community within our school. The warmer weather is coming, which means riding or walking to school may become a more practical option of getting to school for some families.
Normally, students would meet teachers at various pick up locations within our community. We have loved doing this for our Sacred Heart Community, but now it is time to hand this over to parents/carers who may wish to organise riding/walking to school groups around your local area. We are hoping that by doing this, we are empowering your child/ren to build their confidence and independence to actively commute to school more safely and frequently.
Ways to organise this could be to find information and communicate/connect via The Sacred Heart Parents and Carers Facebook page or utilise other parent networks you have. (You may wish to set up a WhatsApp community to organise daily or weekly walking to school days). We will also send out our usual meeting points (without teachers) so parents can meet there and send their children on their way to school. This may help to organise future riding/walking mornings and if some parents are able to walk with the group, they can talk about how to get to school safely with the children.
As usual, we will have fresh fruit, music and a raffle draw when students arrive at school.
We hope this begins an exciting chapter of confidence and independence for our Sacred Heart Students, enabling them to nurture their hearts, minds and spirits.
Earlier this term, Year 6 students who have demonstrated strengths in STEAM, participated in the Bebras Challenge hosted digitally by the CSIRO. The following students have achieved outstanding results and Mrs. Staff and the Sacred Heart community are exceptionally proud of their efforts!
