Dear Parents and Carers,
Thank you to everyone in the community for looking out for each other by keeping COVID restrictions in place. It appears that most students have been managing the remote learning and getting connected online without too many problems. If you have been experiencing issues with technology, there is a phone number on the Catholic Education Website. You could also send an email to your child’s classroom teacher, give the Front Office a ring or check out some of the help guides on our school website. Please be in touch when you need to during this time. .
Keep up to date with the ACT Health website to keep up with the latest news and advice. We will keep you posted as we hear any updates from Catholic Education in regard to COVID and Catholic schools.
COMPASS PARENT PORTAL IS COMING:
As you know the school began using Compass for attendance records at the beginning of Term 2. SHPS is now ready to implement another feature of Compass – the parent portal. We will send out information regarding the portal by Tuesday next week. The Compass Parent Portal is an online portal that lets you access information about your child’s school and their progress. The portal will be accessible via the web and the Compass School Manager App (via the App store on your device).

Online Mass
Live Stream Mass is available from St. Christopher’s Cathedral Monday-Saturday 12.15pm and Sunday 11am.

Library, Italian, Music and STEAM
Our specialist subject teachers have created a new google classroom for each class for students to access activities to keep students learning in Library, Italian, Music and STEAM. We ask parents to help your child join this new classroom.
- Open Google Classroom
- Select the + to ‘add or join class’ at the top right of screen
- Choose ‘Join class’
- Type in the class code found below
- See the work in the ‘stream’ or ‘classwork’ tabs
New activities will be posted to this classroom on a Monday. The first is from Mrs Borgia. Since it is bookweek, we have a virtual character parade planned for you to join in.

Mrs Wode has sent all TOMS families an email. We ask that the TOMS students login to the TOMS Google Classroom.
COMPASS is coming soon. Login credentials and details of how to use COMPASS will be communicated to all families shortly. COMPASS will replace SZapp for most of our communication.
