2025 Term 4 Week 1 Newsletter
Principal's Message
Dear Sacred Heart Community,
I hope everyone had a restful and enjoyable holiday break. The weather is slowly warming up, spring is in the air, and there’s a renewed sense of energy around the school. Welcome back to the final term of the year! It was so good to see everyone back yesterday.
Term 4 is always a busy and exciting time in our school calendar. We’re looking forward to many wonderful events including Carols Night, Year 6 Graduation, Kinder Orientation, Kindergarten Nativity, Semester Reports- it is a busy term! It will be the holidays before we know it!
We’re delighted to welcome three new students to our school community too - Dimitri (Year 2), Eden (Year 3) and Florence (Kindergarten). We hope you feel right at home and enjoy your time at Sacred Heart.
Renovation Works
Our school was a hive of activity during the break! A brand-new front office and counter area were installed, giving the space a fresh and welcoming look. A big thank you to Catholic Education for their support with this project—it looks fantastic.
Crazy Sock Day – This Friday!
This Friday we’ll be joining Catholic schools across the Archdiocese in supporting Catholic Missions through our annual Crazy Sock Day. Students (and staff!) are encouraged to wear their silliest, brightest, and most outrageous socks to school. All we ask is that each student brings a gold coin donation to support the important work of Catholic Missions around the world. It’s a fun way to raise awareness and funds for a great cause.
In faith and partnership,

Compass - Update Contact and Medical Details
Please check the contact and medical details you have lodged on Compass for your child(ren). When we add your child as an attendee to an event (eg: excursion) you will be asked to confirm the details are correct when you give consent for them to attend. If the details are not correct at that time, parents will need to contact the school to update the details before giving consent to the event.
New Uniforms and Lost Property
Have you put your child’s name on their new uniform items and food containers?
A huge thanks to Kat D and Katie H, our wonderful volunteers, who sorted through the mountain of lost property at the end of last term. We were able to re-unite many items with their owners because they had names on them. Clothing without names was donated to the clothing pool. Food and drink containers were recycled.
Teachers do their best to send items with names back to your child when it is found in the classroom. Everything else is sent to the lost property cupboard in the hall. Families are encouraged to check the cupboard for missing items.
Yours in working together
Kerry Wode
